The generous tree canopy creates perfect picnic spots during those hot summer months when shade becomes your best friend. There's something wonderfully calming about sitting under the dappled light filtering through the leaves while enjoying a simple outdoor meal.

A small creek meanders through the grounds, adding that peaceful water-trickling soundtrack to your visit. The park maintains a refreshingly undeveloped feel while still providing the basics you need for a comfortable outing.

Get Moving or Just Relax

Paved walking paths wind their way through the park, well-suited for a casual stroll, your morning jog, or a leisurely bike ride. No need for anything fancy - just you and the path ahead.

If you're feeling a bit more active, there are two tennis courts waiting for your next match. Kids haven't been forgotten either - a playground features equipment suitable for different age groups, including two swing sets (one sized just right for toddlers and another for the bigger kids).

Perhaps the park's standout feature is its large hill - nothing extraordinary in summer, but come winter, it transforms into the neighborhood's favorite sledding spot. While Pine Glen might not have all the bells and whistles of Toledo's larger parks, it's a lovely green space for the neighborhood. It's the place where local kids learn to ride bikes, where neighbors bump into each other on evening walks, and where everyone can connect with nature without driving across town.

Many locals consider it a "serene location" in west Toledo. The foot traffic tends to stay light, making it feel like a personal retreat at times - especially nice if you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet.

Good to Know Before You Go

The park welcomes visitors daily from 7AM to 8PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it whether you're an early bird or prefer evening outings.

Note that despite having a Secor Road address, you can't actually enter from that street. Instead, access is from neighborhood roads like Vogel and Wynnewood Drive. There's no dedicated parking lot, but you'll find street parking along the residential roads - just be mindful of the neighbors.
