You can find the park impressively maintained and clean, with wide paved sidewalks that accommodate everyone. If accessibility is a concern, no worries - there are ramps and designated parking spaces to ensure the park can be enjoyed by all.

Scenic Water Features

The undeniable star of Legacy Park is its two-acre pond, surrounded by green spaces and winding trails that invite exploration. What makes this water feature truly special are the choreographed fountains and lights that dance across the surface, creating a mesmerizing display that changes throughout the day.

The water cannons and scuppers add an element of playful surprise as you wander the grounds. Come evening, the colored water displays transform the park into something magical - we think it's worth visiting just to snap a few photos as the sun sets.

One of the clever aspects of Legacy Park is how it connects to Norman's Legacy Trail, a city-wide bicycle pathway. This makes it easy to include the park in a longer outdoor adventure or simply as a car-free destination.

The park's location near several restaurants means you can easily combine your visit with a meal - perhaps grabbing takeout for an impromptu picnic or unwinding in the park before heading to dinner.

Award-Winning Design

The collaboration between The McKinney Partnership Architects and Howard-Fairbairn Landscape Architects has earned formal recognition for the park's design.

In 2018, the project received the People's Choice Award from the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
