A major attraction at Westwood Park is the Westwood Family Aquatic Center - a great option for cooling off during those sweltering Oklahoma summer days. When the temperature climbs, this place becomes the neighborhood's collective backyard pool, but with way more bells and whistles.

The lazy river is a popular feature - you can grab a tube and float along at a relaxed pace. If you're craving more excitement, check out the water slides or test your courage on the diving boards (including a pretty impressive high dive platform). The main pool uses saltwater and stays slightly heated, which is a nice touch for those who hate that initial cold-water shock. And hey, if you're not the strongest swimmer, they've got free life vests available - safety first!

If you've got little ones in tow, you'll appreciate the toddler areas and splash pads designed with the smallest swimmers in mind. There are even special toddler-only hours in the mornings, giving the kiddos space to splash around without dodging teenagers doing cannonballs.

Before hitting the links, you can warm up at the driving range, putting green, or chipping area. The course maintains good conditions year-round and won't empty your wallet like some of the fancier options around.

If tennis is more your game, the park's tennis courts come equipped with lights for evening matches. There's also an indoor tennis center available, but it can get a bit toasty during peak summer months.

Family-Friendly Features

Westwood Park doesn't forget about the younger crowd. The playground equipment provides an excellent outlet for kids to burn off energy while parents catch their breath. Scattered across the park, picnic areas with tables and some covered seating offer ideal spots for family lunches, birthday celebrations, or just a casual outdoor meal.
