Highland Park

Location and Neighborhood Presence

Highland Park is a charming public green space nestled in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It's one of 135 parks under the care of Tulsa Parks department, contributing to the impressive 6,553 acres of natural spaces that the city maintains for its residents.

Atmosphere and Layout

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, Highland Park offers clean grounds and a thoughtful design. The big shade trees scattered throughout create perfect spots to escape the Oklahoma sun and just breathe for a while.

You'll come across parking quite convenient here, with several lots strategically placed around the park. There are dedicated spots near the playground and tennis courts, so you won't have to trek far with equipment or excited kids in tow.

Things to Do

If you're feeling active or just need some fresh air, Highland Park has options. The tennis courts are well-maintained for those looking to rally, while the basketball court offers a space to practice your jump shot or join a pickup game.

The walking trail that circles the park is well-suited for getting some steps in. It's become a favorite for nearby workers on lunch breaks and neighbors out for evening strolls alike.

For families, there's a modest but functional playground where little ones can burn off energy. On hot days, the splash pad becomes the star attraction, offering a refreshing escape from the heat.

Comfort Features

Though not abundant, the park's picnic tables provide nice spots to enjoy a packed lunch or casual outdoor dinner. You'll find them scattered throughout the grounds.

Drinking water is available for staying hydrated during your visit. Dog owners will appreciate the waste bag dispensers, but keep in mind this isn't a designated dog park - there's no fencing for off-leash play, so keep your furry friends on their leashes.
