Found in the east Bethel area of Eugene, Oregon, Mangan Park spans a comfortable 5.6 acres of green space. This neighborhood favorite offers plenty of room to breathe and play, whether you're a local or just passing through.

The park features a modern playground split into two zones: a smaller playground for toddlers and young children (ages 2-5) and a larger playground for older kids (ages 5-12). This smart separation means parents can relax knowing their little ones are playing on equipment that's just right for their age and abilities. We've noticed the playground equipment is kept in great shape too - clean and well-maintained.

Amenities

Beyond the playground, Mangan Park has several other features that make it worth a visit. Shoot some hoops at the half-court basketball area, excellent for a quick game or practicing your jump shot. If you're feeling a bit old-school, try your hand at the horseshoe pits for a more leisurely challenge.

There are picnic areas with benches positioned near the playground, making it easy to keep an eye on the kids while enjoying a sandwich. The park's open lawn areas invite you to spread out a blanket, toss a frisbee, or simply lie back and cloud-watch. Trees dot the landscape, offering welcome patches of shade during Oregon's warmer months, but on particularly hot days, you might wish for a few more shaded spots to sit.

Bring your four-legged friends along - Mangan Park is dog-friendly, so you'll often see locals walking their pups while taking in the scenery. You'll come across a parking lot on site, making it easy to visit even if you don't live within walking distance.

Note that there are no public restrooms available at this park. The gates are open daily from 6AM to 11PM.
