Athletic Facilities

The park's claim to fame? Its stellar athletic setup. You can find two baseball fields and two soccer fields with natural grass that typically open from late March through October, weather permitting (because Oregon rain has its own schedule).

The baseball fields come equipped with covered dugouts and bleachers behind home plate - great for spectators who prefer not to bake in the sun while cheering on their favorite players. During sports seasons, these fields transform into hubs of activity with games, practices, and camps taking over the landscape.

Trails and Pathways

Not to worry though, portable toilets typically stand guard year-round. And yes, there are dog waste bag stations because nobody wants that kind of surprise on their shoe.

Good news for park regulars - Geer Park is scheduled for upgrades thanks to Salem's Safety and Livability Bond that voters greenlit in November 2022. These improvements will enhance the park's facilities in the coming years.
