Spanning about 80 acres next to Owens Field Airport, this park offers a rather unique setting where you can watch small planes take off and land while enjoying your outdoor activities.

Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to love here with multiple soccer fields and baseball diamonds that host local leagues and casual players alike. Just a heads up: the road leading to the soccer fields isn't paved - it's gravel that can turn into a bit of a muddy situation after rain.

Skate Park

Skaters, rejoice! The park houses a 15,000 square-foot outdoor skate park complete with a street plaza, stairs, metal plated rails, and bowl sections ranging from beginner-friendly 4-foot depths to challenging 12-foot drops for the more adventurous riders.

Additional Activities

The park's 18-hole disc golf course features a layout that works well for both beginners and experienced players. It's actually one of the main draws that brings people to Owens Field specifically.

For cyclists, the park's pump track includes rollers and banked turns that allow for riding without pedaling. It's one of the few such tracks available in the Midlands region.

Family-Friendly Areas

If you're bringing little ones, you'll appreciate the playground that's designed with plenty of open space - a particular blessing for parents of children with sensory sensitivities or anxiety.

The walking trails that meander around the park provide perfect paths for an evening stroll or morning jog. There's also a dedicated track if you prefer running on a more predictable surface.
