Trail System

These well-maintained paths are completely stroller-friendly and accessible regardless of your mobility level.

If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, venture onto the two and a half miles of nature trails that meander through the wooded areas. You can find these trails clearly marked with colored indicators on trees, making it easy to immerse yourself in the natural beauty while keeping an eye out for local wildlife.

Recreational Areas

Wannamaker County Park has over seven acres of open, grassy meadows - good for picnics, frisbee games, or simply relaxing and watching the clouds.

Kids have plenty of space to burn energy with multiple playgrounds designed for different age groups. Toddlers have their own dedicated area, separate from the equipment for older children. One thing to note: the ground covering consists of small rocks rather than wood chips, which some may find less than ideal.

For the more actively inclined, the park doesn't disappoint with its sand volleyball courts and a challenging 18-hole disc golf course that combines technical play with beautiful natural scenery.

Dog parents will appreciate the off-leash dog park where their furry friends can run free. The thoughtful design includes separate areas for large and small dogs, a popular splash pad just for pups, and a convenient washing station for those inevitably muddy paws.

When summer temperatures rise, the seasonal sprinkler water play area offers a refreshing escape that's included with your park admission - meant for younger children who want to splash around.

The park is also home to Whirlin' Waters Adventure Waterpark, a separate attraction with its own admission fee, featuring various slides and a lazy river for those seeking more substantial aquatic adventures.

For a more leisurely water experience, rent a paddleboat and glide across the park's small lakes, taking in the peaceful surroundings and perhaps spotting some aquatic wildlife along the way.

Within the grounds, you can find numerous picnic sites equipped with grills, but keep in mind there's a limit of three tables per group if you're planning a gathering.
