Dupont Park

Dupont Park is a community green space located in Hixson, one of Chattanooga's northern suburbs, approximately 15 minutes from the city center. The park sits directly across Chickamauga Lake from Tennessee River Park, behind the Chickamauga Dam.

Originally part of a parcel of land set aside by the DuPont corporation for public use after their large manufacturing plant was constructed in the 1940s, during Chattanooga's industrial heyday, the park now serves as a popular recreational area for local residents.

The park features a mix of open spaces and forested areas, providing visitors with a variety of outdoor experiences. Its location near Chickamauga Lake adds to its scenic appeal, making it an attractive destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature.

Dupont Park is particularly known for its disc golf course, which is well-regarded and set in a wooded area called the Sinks. This course attracts disc golf enthusiasts from around the area.
