The park got a serious facelift recently, thanks to a $1.5 million renovation completed in 2023. The makeover focused on making the park more accessible and refreshing its amenities.

Spanning 6 acres in Memphis's Medical District, Morris Park offers a welcome break from the urban surroundings. The park has options for various visitors, whether you're a local looking for some nature time or just passing through the area.

Accessibility Features

One of the best things about the recent upgrades is that the park now offers ADA-compliant facilities. Wheelchair-accessible picnic tables and swings mean that everyone can enjoy what Morris Park has to offer, regardless of mobility challenges.

Recreation Amenities

The park features a 0.25-mile paved walking trail for walking or jogging. It's fantastic for a quick morning jog or an evening stroll as you wind through the greenery. It's a straightforward path where you can enjoy some fresh air.

Family-Friendly Facilities

Kids have plenty of room to burn off energy at the modern playground area, featuring new equipment from the 2023 updates. With slides and swings in a secure setting, children can play while parents supervise from nearby. The new play structures have become a hit with families in the area.

The rental pavilion with picnic tables is available for family reunions, birthday celebrations, or community meetups. There's ample seating available for outdoor dining.
