Located in Amarillo's Eastside Barrio neighborhood, Glenwood Park is a little escape with plenty to offer. The wading pool is a definite highlight - great for when those Texas summers get unbearably hot and the kids need somewhere to splash around and cool off.

Little ones will love the modern playgrounds with equipment suited for various ages. Our personal favorite? The safe zipline that never fails to elicit squeals of delight from children brave enough to give it a go. If you're more into shooting hoops, the basketball courts are available for a friendly game or some solo practice.

Layout & Essentials

The park offers plenty of open grassy areas where you can spread out a blanket for a picnic, toss a frisbee, or just lie back and cloud-watch. There are picnic tables available, though they can fill up quickly on busy days - might want to arrive early to snag one!

When nature calls, you'll find restroom facilities near Park Area 1. They're basic but functional, however sometimes they might be locked, so it's not a bad idea to have a backup plan.
