Despite its modest size of about 5 acres, Peace Point packs in plenty of charm. The waterfront gazebo represents an excellent spot to catch your breath and soak in those lake views without the Texas sun beating down on you. Across the park, you'll come across benches scattered in just the right places, inviting you to sit for a moment and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that gives this spot its fitting name.

Hit the Trails

Peace Point connects you to the popular Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the greater Lady Bird Lake area. Whether you're walking, jogging, or cycling, the well-maintained paths offer a refreshing way to experience Austin's natural beauty. The boardwalk section is particularly worth your time, offering some of the clearest views of downtown while keeping you safely above the shoreline.

On the Water

While swimming isn't allowed in Lady Bird Lake (safety first!), the park's position on a small peninsula gives you unique views from almost every angle. If you're looking to get out on the water, paddle boarding and kayaking options are right next door, with rental facilities conveniently located adjacent to the park.

Good to Know

Bring your four-legged friends along - the park is dog-friendly as long as they stay on a leash. Parking is available street-side, but you might need to circle around during busy weekends or evenings. Thankfully, the area's mature trees provide ample shade, making Peace Point a comfortable retreat even during those infamous Texas summer days.
