About the Location
Playground Paradise
Set in the Meadows Subdivision, Pepper Rock Park features a modern playground that's split into zones - one for the tiny tots (ages 2-5) and another for the bigger kids (ages 5-12). A highlight is the ZipKrooz® feature that mimics a zip line, which is typically a big hit with children brave enough to try it.
Adventurous climbers will love scaling the Skyport™ climber or the unique spherical climbing structure that seems to dare kids to conquer it. The playground doesn't stop there - swings, slides, a two-layered merry-go-round, and these fascinating spinning balls that kids can actually climb inside and whirl around in round out the offerings. And thank goodness for those integrated shade structures over the equipment - they're absolute lifesavers during those scorching Texas summers.
Get Your Game On
If you're more into sports than playgrounds, the park offers options as well. The newly renovated basketball court stands ready for pickup games, while the baseball field offers plenty of space to practice your swing or organize a friendly match.
Need a break? The park's picnic areas come complete with tables, benches, and BBQ grills - excellent for refueling after all that play. The covered pavilion makes an ideal spot for birthday celebrations or just gathering with friends, rain or shine.
Park Details
Opened on February 23, 2018, Pepper Rock Park spans nearly 5 acres and was designed with the intense Texas weather in mind. The play equipment features a ProShield® finish - a fancy way of saying it has a super-durable powder coating that helps everything stay looking good and functioning well despite constant sun exposure. Recent renovations have ensured all equipment meets modern safety standards.
Neighborhood Oasis
Pepper Rock Park balances active play zones with quieter areas for relaxation. Its location within a residential area makes it a convenient escape for locals.
You'll find a small trail well-suited for a casual stroll and ample open space in the large field - ideal for flying kites, tossing frisbees, or simply sprawling out on a blanket with a good book. The park's well-maintained grounds and peaceful atmosphere have even turned it into an impromptu meditation spot for some visitors.
Practical Stuff
No need to cut your park visit short due to nature's call - clean restrooms are available for both men and women. Both you and your four-legged friends can stay hydrated thanks to water fountains designed for humans and dogs alike.
Bringing your pup? You'll appreciate the dog waste stations with bags positioned across the park. There's plenty of parking available, and the park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM until 11PM.
