Aggie Park

Campus Location

Aggie Park is a 20-acre green space located in the heart of Texas A&M University's campus in College Station, Texas. Opened in September 2022, the park was developed to provide enhanced outdoor spaces for students, alumni, and visitors.

The park sits between the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, Houston Street, the John J. Koldus Building, and Throckmorton Street.

Natural Features

A key feature is the 2-acre lake stocked with fish for catch-and-release fishing, including largemouth bass, striped bass, redfish, and rainbow trout depending on the season.

The park also includes walking trails that wind throughout the grounds, providing peaceful pathways for exercise and relaxation.

Architectural Elements

The impressive 102-foot Plank Bridge spans the lake, designed to be wide enough to accommodate the Corps of Cadets marching formation.

Visitors can enjoy the outdoor amphitheater and performance pavilion with a copper roof that will patinate over time.

Amenities and Infrastructure

Aggie Park provides improved infrastructure for campus events and tailgating, with level surfaces, public Wi-Fi access, and modern restroom facilities.

Aggie Heritage

The park houses permanent recognition for Distinguished Alumni and monuments celebrating Aggie traditions, including statues related to the Aggie War Hymn.

Funded entirely through private donations raised by The Association of Former Students, the park serves as a gift to be used by the entire Aggie community year-round.

It was designed to enhance the campus gateway, create engaging green spaces, and promote camaraderie among Aggies.
