Found in Corpus Christi, Texas, Stonegate Park offers a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the Stonegate neighborhood. This green sanctuary off Bonner Dr represents a community gathering spot where time seems to slow down a bit.

The large open grassy area is excellent for impromptu games of tag, frisbee tosses, or just letting the kids run around. There's something refreshingly simple about watching little ones zigzag across the lawn, burning energy while you take in the tranquil surroundings.

Growing Greener

In 2022, Stonegate got a beautiful upgrade when it was chosen to receive 10 new shade trees as part of a city-wide beautification effort. These native South Texas trees aren't just pretty additions - they're hard at work improving air quality, cutting down noise, and helping with stormwater management and erosion control.

This park's mini-forest was part of a larger initiative that planted 230 shade trees across 30 parks throughout Corpus Christi, all funded through the City's FY 2022 Budget. Years from now, these saplings will have transformed into magnificent canopies offering cool relief from the Texas sun.

Need to stretch your legs? The park features a walking path that extends for about 1.1 miles - excellent for everything from casual afternoon strolls to more dedicated power walks. The mostly flat terrain makes this path accessible no matter your fitness level, so you don't need to be a marathon runner to enjoy it.

For those with a competitive streak, the full basketball court stands ready for pickup games or just practicing your jump shot. Nothing beats the satisfying swish of the net when you make that perfect basket.
