Elmwood Parkway Park is a 16-acre linear park located in the Elmwood neighborhood of Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas. Established in 1945, the park follows Cedar Creek on the northern edge of the neighborhood and continues south along Elmwood Branch through the center.
The park features mature pecan, oak, elm, and hackberry trees, providing a lush green space in the urban environment. It is home to a variety of birds and wildlife, offering visitors a chance to connect with nature within the city.
In recent years, the park has seen improvements including the addition of walking trails that meander through the green space. A new 8-foot-wide concrete path was added as part of a $450,000 project funded by city bonds, enhancing accessibility for visitors. The park also includes a crossing bridge and a monarch butterfly waystation, adding to its ecological value.
Elmwood Parkway Park serves as a focal point for the neighborhood, providing open spaces for sports and recreational activities.
