About the Location

Lake Recreation

Found in Frisco, Texas, Hidden Cove Park sprawls across 720 acres of scenic lakefront property on Lewisville Lake. This spacious outdoor area offers a variety of activities, whether you're visiting for the day or planning a longer stay.

The park's sizeable marina houses 340 covered boat slips, so there's plenty of room to dock if you're bringing your own watercraft. If you don't own a boat, Big D Watersports offers rentals including wave runners, pontoons, and ski boats. If you're looking for a more laid-back water experience, you can also rent paddle boards, kayaks, or canoes to explore the lake at your own pace.

Beach and Picnic Areas

When Texas heat kicks in, the park's sandy beachfront with its designated swimming area becomes a great cooling spot. It's ideal for families wanting to splash around without venturing too far into the lake.

Scattered across the park are numerous picnic areas and pavilions where you can enjoy a meal while soaking in those gorgeous lake views. Planning a family reunion or special gathering? You can reserve these spaces ahead of time.

If you're feeling a bit more active, the basketball courts and sand volleyball courts offer a great way to burn some energy and have fun with friends or family.

Camping Options

For overnight stays, Hidden Cove provides 34 concrete RV sites with electricity and water hookups, and some sites have sewer connections as well.

Prefer a more traditional camping experience? The tent camping areas come with covered pavilions, picnic tables, and charcoal grills at each site. Many spots offer welcome shade from those intense Texas rays, but keep an eye out for poison ivy around some trees.

If roughing it isn't quite your style, the park offers several upgraded options including screened shelters, furnished cabins, and bunkhouses. Some cabins offer waterfront views for enjoying your morning coffee.

Nature and Wildlife

The hiking and biking trails winding through the park create perfect opportunities to stretch your legs and maybe spot some local wildlife along the way.

With its mix of wooded areas and open spaces, the park creates diverse habitats for local plants and animals, making every walk a potential nature discovery tour.

Dining Options

Don't feel like cooking? The Rockin' S Bar and Grill sits right in the park, serving up food and drinks with occasional live entertainment to boot. Nothing beats enjoying a meal with lake views when you're not in the mood to fire up your own grill.

Visitor Information

Hidden Cove Park welcomes visitors year-round, with a daily entrance fee of $20 per vehicle (military folks get a discount). Whether you want to spend a day on the water, have a family picnic, or enjoy an extended camping trip, the park combines useful amenities with natural surroundings.

Just a heads up - the park can get pretty crowded during holidays and summer weekends, so arriving early is your best bet during these peak times. Clean restrooms and other facilities are available throughout the park and are kept in good condition.
