Found in the historic Dalworth neighborhood of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tyre Park spans a generous 23.5 acres of recreational space. This community retreat got a fresh start in 2023 thanks to a $2 million makeover project that breathed new life into the playground, walking trail, and various other amenities.

Recreational Facilities

Whether you're looking to break a sweat or just enjoy some outdoor fun, Tyre Park offers several options. The unlighted basketball court regularly buzzes with pickup games and community activities, while the multi-purpose field offers plenty of space for whatever game strikes your fancy.

Kids will love exploring the newly renovated playground equipment, which hits the sweet spot for elementary school-aged children but still offers enough fun elements to keep the little ones entertained.

Natural Features

One of the park's standout features is its serene lake, providing a tranquil backdrop that instantly helps you disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Plenty of grassy areas and shade trees dot the landscape, creating perfect spots to throw down a blanket for an impromptu picnic. You can find several picnic tables and grills available too, so you can make a day of it without lugging along too much equipment.

The park's roofed pavilion with its concrete floor functions as a fantastic gathering spot for community events. With space for up to 50 people, it's just right for family celebrations or neighborhood get-togethers.

If you're planning an event, you can reserve the pavilion ahead of time, with Grand Prairie residents enjoying special rates compared to non-residents.
