About the Location
Get Active Outdoors
Guess what? Keeler Park just leveled up with Irving's first outdoor lighted pickleball courts! If you haven't jumped on the pickleball bandwagon yet, now's your chance. The playground area has also gotten a serious upgrade, with more space and new equipment including swings and exercise stations for kiddos (and the young at heart) to enjoy.
Fresh Face for a Familiar Place
As one of Irving's oldest green spaces, Keeler Park recently received some well-deserved TLC. Thanks to a $1.2 million bond, this community staple has been expanded and renovated to better meet the needs of everyone who visits.
The park now features beautiful new walking trails that are ideal for your morning jog or an evening stroll. They've also installed energy-efficient lighting throughout, making evening visits both safer and more environmentally friendly.
Old Meets New
While all these new additions are exciting, the park hasn't forgotten its roots. The charming original pavilion remains intact, creating a nice balance between historic and modern elements. Nature lovers will appreciate the 26 new trees that have been planted, which not only add beauty but offer welcome shade on those hot Texas days.
Practical improvements haven't been overlooked either. The parking lot has been expanded to fit more cars (no more circling for a spot!), and new covered picnic tables make this an ideal destination for family gatherings, casual lunches, or just a peaceful outdoor workspace when you need a change of scenery.
