Salazar Park

Salazar Park is a public green space located in Irving, Texas. This park serves as a recreational area for the local community. The park features a linear design, providing an open space on one side and a more enclosed area with trees and pavilions on the other.

The park's layout includes a wide lawn that functions as a flexible event space and showcases a variety of colorful sculptural benches throughout. A grove of trees, including newly planted ginkgo and mature live oak trees, offers shaded areas for visitors. Custom-designed park pavilions provide shelter and gathering spots.

Salazar Park is part of the larger Cypress Waters mixed-use development and serves as a welcoming green space at the entry of the complex. It acts as a connector between the office and corporate developments and the multifamily and mixed-use areas in the Cypress Waters' Town Center. The park is designed to create a balance between buildings and landscape, embodying the overall vision of the Cypress Waters development.

A decomposed granite path surrounds the park, offering a track for leisurely walks. The park's design makes it suitable for outdoor meetings, lunches, and various community events. As the first of several planned parks along Cypress Waters Boulevard, Salazar Park plays a crucial role in establishing the area's green infrastructure.
