About the Location

A Magical Kingdom for Little Adventurers

Found in Lewisville's Castle Hills community, Dragon Park features a creative theme that sparks imagination for kids aged 2 to 12.

At the heart of this space is a castle-themed playground reminiscent of storybook illustrations. The PlayBooster castle structure invites little knights and princesses to create their own adventures, whether they're defending the realm or embarking on royal quests.

Where Fantasy Comes to Life

True to its name, true to its name, the park features a large GFRC dragon sculpture that winds its way around the playground. This magnificent beast isn't just for show - kids can actually climb on various parts of it, turning fantasy into tangible fun.

Clever design thinking went into this dragon; its interior features built-in seating, creating a natural resting spot for parents keeping an eye on their little adventurers. It's these thoughtful touches that make the park work so well for family outings.

Safety hasn't been sacrificed for style here. The playground is covered with engineered wood fiber (EWF) safety surfacing throughout, giving active kids a cushioned landing zone for their inevitable jumps and tumbles.

For classic playground fun, there's a swing set featuring two regular swings and one baby swing, plus a see-saw and multiple slides that cater to different age groups and thrill levels.

Take a Break

When it's time to refuel, a small covered gazebo with at least one picnic table provides a welcome escape from the Texas sun. It's meant for snack breaks or small family gatherings.

Note that there are no restroom facilities or water fountains available at the park. You might want to plan accordingly if you're thinking of staying for more than a quick play session.

A Natural Retreat

One of the park's unsung heroes is its abundance of trees, creating much-appreciated shade during those hot Texas days. The natural setting transforms what could be just another playground into a serene green escape within the neighborhood.

An open grassy area offers space for impromptu games or just sprawling out on a blanket. The surrounding trees create a peaceful atmosphere that makes you temporarily forget you're in a residential area.

A New Legend in Town

Though Dragon Park only officially joined the Lewisville landscape on September 5, 2020, some locals suggest it might actually be a dramatic renovation of Castle Hills' original park. Either way, it's relatively new to the scene.

In its short existence, the park has become popular with local families. The dragon theme differentiates it from other playgrounds in the area, attracting both Castle Hills residents and visitors from nearby neighborhoods.
