About the Location
Athletic Fields
Found in Plano, Texas, Enfield Park is an athletic field complex designed for both local sports organizations and the everyday athlete. Spread across a generous 47.9 acres, this park offers a peaceful backdrop for everything from intense competition to casual practice sessions.
Baseball Haven
Enfield Park offers eight lighted baseball fields, each featuring grassed infields and proper fencing. Regardless of whether you're watching your kid's Little League game or participating in an adult softball league, these well-maintained diamonds provide an excellent stage for America's favorite pastime. The quality lighting means the fun doesn't have to end when the sun goes down - evening games continue with good visibility across all fields.
Soccer Spaces
Not just for baseball enthusiasts, Enfield Park caters to soccer players too. The soccer fields maintain a good playing surface and, like their baseball counterparts, come equipped with lights for those evening matches or practice sessions. This versatility makes the park a year-round destination for various sporting communities.
Comfort and Convenience
Beyond the playing fields, Enfield Park offers practical amenities that make game day more enjoyable. You'll find concession areas for that necessary mid-game snack, clean restrooms, and shaded picnic areas ideal for team gatherings or family outings. The open grassy spaces also provide room for informal play or a relaxing breather between games.
Note that parking can be limited during tournaments and peak times. It's worth arriving early to snag a spot, and you might want to wear comfortable shoes for the potential walk to the fields.
Looking to the Future
Exciting changes are coming to Enfield Park. The Plano City Council has greenlit a substantial $8.5 million contract for major upgrades. These improvements include brand new restroom buildings in both the northern and southern sections of the park.
The enhancement project will also completely overhaul the lighting system for all eight ballfields. The new LED lights will replace the existing setup, along with new lighting controls, wiring, poles, fixtures, switch gears, and underground conduits - essentially bringing the park's illumination into the modern era.
Beyond Organized Sports
While Enfield Park shines as a sports complex, it also accommodates more casual recreation. The perimeter areas, set away from the active fields, make for a pleasant dog-walking route for local pet owners.
With its extensive grounds and facilities, Enfield Park is a community space for sports, skill development, and outdoor recreation throughout the year.
