History and Origin

Faulkner Park is a 110-acre community park located in Tyler, Texas. The park opened to the public on April 18, 2001, and is named after Mr. Robert Faulkner, who donated land for its development.

Trail System

The park features an extensive trail system, including nine miles of nature trails and a wide gravel path that circles the western side of the park. These trails cater to various activities such as hiking, jogging, and mountain biking.

In 2021, the park added the Thunderstruck jump line, a series of five downhill jumps for mountain bikers, and an orienteering course.

Recreational Facilities

Faulkner Park offers numerous recreational facilities for visitors. It includes several baseball and softball fields, a tennis center with eight lighted courts, and a skate park added in 2019.

For families with children, there's a playground and a sprayground that operates during summer months.
