Right next to the playground, you can find a splash pad water feature that comes alive during the warmer months. Though compact in size, this splash pad packs in plenty of water activities great for little ones to run around and cool off when the Texas heat kicks in.

If you're more into sports, the park offers several options. There are enclosed basketball courts and a tennis court waiting for your best game. Wide open grassy spaces are perfect for impromptu football matches, soccer practice, kickball games, or whatever activity strikes your fancy. For those who prefer a more structured workout, paved walking paths meander through the grounds, meant for a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog. The concrete trail features little interactive stations with activities for both kids and adults along the way - a nice touch that keeps things interesting.

Kendrick Park offers several shaded picnic areas with tables and benches, making it easy to enjoy a family meal outdoors. There's also a covered pavilion with four picnic tables that provides a nice retreat from sun or rain. If you're planning a larger gathering, you might need to reserve this space ahead of time. You can find additional tables near the basketball and tennis courts too.

For the fitness-minded, the park includes outdoor exercise equipment so adults can get in a workout while the kids play. One thing to note: there are no public restrooms here, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially if you're planning a longer visit.

Spanning several acres, this park offers something for Waco residents of all ages. Kendrick Park is maintained by the City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department and welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to midnight.

Its central Waco location makes it a convenient option for many nearby neighborhoods. Parking is free, but you might have to hunt for a spot during busy times. The park sits right next to Kendrick Elementary School, making it an easy after-school destination for families.
