The park spans 60 acres and features four lighted baseball fields, providing ample space for organized sports and casual games. These well-maintained fields are popular for local leagues and friendly matches throughout the season.
A large playground area offers children a safe and enjoyable space to play and explore. The playground equipment caters to various age groups, ensuring fun for all young visitors.
Picnic and Gathering Areas
Kiwanis Park includes a large picnic shelter with 10 tables, as well as three smaller shelters scattered throughout the grounds. These covered areas provide ideal spots for family gatherings, picnics, and community events.
Additionally, the park is equipped with three barbecue grills, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor cooking while spending time with family and friends.
Unique Attractions
A special feature of Kiwanis Park is its prairie dog town, the only one in the Wichita Falls park system. This attraction offers visitors a chance to observe these fascinating creatures in a semi-natural habitat.
The park also includes the only area in the city designated exclusively for flying kites, adding another dimension to its recreational offerings.
