About Riverview Park

A River Runs By It

Situated in Provo, Utah, Riverview Park spans a generous 12.1 acres of public green space. As the name suggests, it sits near the Provo River, offering a peaceful retreat where you can soak in breathtaking views of Timpanogos and Lone Peak mountains towering in the distance.

The park is somewhat hidden from main roads, offering a quieter atmosphere. Winding paths invite you to take a leisurely stroll or morning jog through well-kept lawns and green spaces. It's one of those places where you can actually hear yourself think - a rarity these days!

Play & Recreation

If you're bringing the little ones, they'll love the recently renovated playground that caters to both toddlers (ages 2-5) and older kids (5-12). Think multiple play sets, swings, climbing structures, and those fun spinning things that make you slightly dizzy. Thankfully, the playground area offers good shade coverage, sparing parents the dreaded midday sun meltdown.

Sports enthusiasts haven't been forgotten either. The park has two freshly resurfaced tennis courts and six pickleball courts for when you're feeling competitive. The walking paths across the park have new asphalt, making them smooth and accessible for everyone from stroller-pushing parents to seniors getting their steps in.

Gather 'Round

Planning a family reunion or birthday celebration? Riverview offers two large pavilions that you can reserve ahead of time. Each comes equipped with barbecue grills, electrical outlets, and water spouts - pretty much everything you need for a successful outdoor gathering.

Don't have a reservation? No problem. Picnic tables are scattered around the grounds, and there's plenty of open lawn space where you can throw down a blanket and enjoy an impromptu picnic or a game of frisbee.

Good to Know

The park includes restrooms that open during warmer months. They're nothing fancy - basic cinder block structures that get the job done.

Four-legged friends are welcome, but keep them leashed (there are signs reminding you about this). You'll find pet waste stations within the park, so there's no excuse for not cleaning up after your pooch.

Parking is plentiful on both the east and west sides, but you might need to pay a bit more attention finding the park your first time, as it's nestled within a residential neighborhood. The park can be a bit tricky to find your first time, but it's worth the effort.
