About the Location
Park Overview
Located in St. George, Utah, Bloomington Hills North Park spans about 10 acres in a distinctive elongated shape. Locals affectionately nickname it "Long Park" due to its half-mile stretch. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle, this park offers a quiet space for unwinding and enjoying outdoor activities.
Location and Layout
Located in the Bloomington Hills neighborhood, this park has generous green spaces with well-kept lawns well-suited for picnic blankets, afternoon lounging, or impromptu frisbee games.
A smooth paved path meanders through the grounds, excellent for your morning jog, evening stroll, or just stretching your legs. Walking the entire perimeter takes about 30 minutes if you're not in a rush. One of the cool things about this park's design is how many nearby cul-de-sacs connect directly to it, making it super accessible for neighbors who live in the area.
Amenities
Scattered trees across the park provide welcome shade on sunny days while adding to the natural beauty. If you're bringing kids along, they'll love the large playground with equipment for various ages. There are even some rocking seats nearby where you can relax while keeping an eye on the little ones.
Basketball enthusiasts can shoot some hoops at the basketball courts on the grounds. Near the parking lot, you can find a large covered pavilion that's good for family gatherings, birthday celebrations, or just enjoying a sandwich in the shade.
Dog-Friendly Space
Dog owners, rejoice! The park features plenty of open space where your four-legged friends can stretch their legs and burn off energy. The expansive grassy areas give pups room to play while you enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Community Space
Bloomington Hills North Park is a place where both locals and visitors come to enjoy the outdoor setting. Its location within a residential area makes it easily accessible for nearby residents, while still drawing people from all over St. George.
You'll often spot local college teams using the park for running practice, and families with children of all ages enjoying the facilities. Note that if you're driving over, you'll need to use the street parking available along the surrounding residential roads.
Important Notes
Heads up - there are no restroom facilities at this park, as many visitors have pointed out. If nature calls, the nearest restrooms are at Larkspur Park nearby. Also, despite what some information might suggest elsewhere, there's no disc golf course here, so leave those discs at home.
