Sarah Constant Beach Park

Sarah Constant Beach Park is a public beach located in the Ocean View area of Norfolk, Virginia. The park offers visitors access to a stretch of sandy shoreline along the Chesapeake Bay. It is one of three beach parks maintained by the City of Norfolk, alongside Community Beach Park and Ocean View Beach Park.

The beach at Sarah Constant Park is known for its relatively calm waters, making it suitable for swimming and wading. Unlike Ocean View Beach Park, Sarah Constant Beach Park does not have lifeguards on duty, so visitors swim at their own risk. The park provides a more secluded and quieter beach experience compared to some of the more popular beaches in the region.

Sarah Constant Beach Park includes grassy areas where visitors can relax or have picnics. Grilling is permitted on these grassy sections, allowing beachgoers to enjoy outdoor cooking. The park offers scenic views of the Chesapeake Bay and provides opportunities for activities such as sunbathing, beachcombing, and watching ships pass by.

The park is named after one of the three ships that brought English settlers to Jamestown in 1607. It serves as a reminder of the area's rich colonial history while providing modern recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.
