Playground Features

Upton Estates Park has recently gotten a facelift as part of Virginia Beach's initiative to spruce up its recreational spaces. The results are pretty impressive!

The updated playground now has a variety of slides to keep the kids entertained - including a fun spiral slide for those who like a twist and a covered slide for some shaded sliding action. There are also several climbing elements for the more adventurous little ones. A new arched swing set has been added with options for everyone - traditional belt seats for bigger kids and secure infant seats for the tiny tots.

One of the more unique features you'll come across here are two swizzlers - these rotating play elements add a bit of excitement to the playground experience and are usually a hit with kids who love spinning around.

Park Amenities

Beyond the playground, Upton Estates Park offers some nice open green spaces where you can throw a frisbee, have a picnic, or just let the kids run off some extra energy.

The park has become something of a neighborhood hub for the Upton Estates community - a place where families gather and neighbors connect, all while enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.

Visitor Information

Note that the parking area sits about 392 feet from the playground, so you'll need to take a short walk to reach the play equipment. It's not far, but worth keeping in mind if you're bringing lots of gear or have very young children.
