About the Location
Gateway to Jetty Island
Located along the waterfront, Jetty Landing Park is the main entry point to Jetty Island, a popular summer destination for locals and visitors. If you're planning to catch the seasonal ferry over to the island, this is where your adventure begins. The park sits right next to the Port of Everett's impressive 13-lane boat launch, creating a lively atmosphere during the warmer months.
Park Features
Looking for a spot to toss a frisbee or play a casual game of catch? The open grassy areas here are ideal for that. As you wander through the park, you'll be treated to beautiful views of the Snohomish River, Port Gardner Bay, and the bustling marina nearby. One of our favorite aspects is the paved walking trail that wraps around the park, offering stunning water and mountain vistas from nearly every angle.
If you're a boater, you'll appreciate the convenient access and plentiful parking for both vehicles and boat trailers. The first two hours of parking won't cost you a dime, with reasonable rates after that. No matter if you're launching your boat or heading to Jetty Island, the park makes it easy to start your day on the water.
Recreation Amenities
A highlight for families is the newly added ship-themed children's playground that arrived in 2023. This nautical wonderland pays homage to the historic Equator and includes ADA-accessible features alongside sea creature elements that captivate kids' imaginations. It's thoughtfully designed for children of various ages, so everyone can join in the fun.
There's also a fishing dock where kids often gather to explore and sometimes spot fascinating marine creatures like barnacles clinging to the pilings. When hunger strikes, you can settle in at one of several picnic tables, some with covered shelters that provide welcome shade for lunch or small get-togethers.
Accessibility Features
The park is notably well-designed for accessibility. Wide sidewalks with gentle slopes make navigation smooth for wheelchairs and walkers. If you need handicap parking, you can find spaces conveniently placed near the restrooms. Need a moment to rest? Multiple benches throughout the park offer perfect spots to pause and take in the scenery.
Facilities
Clean, spacious public restrooms ensure comfort during your visit. Dog owners will be happy to know their four-legged friends are welcome, with a generous grassy area for play and doggy waste bags available to keep things tidy.
Feeling hungry? Several restaurants sit just a short walk away, making it easy to combine your park visit with a meal out. As the day winds down, the park transforms into one of the area's most peaceful spots to watch the sunset, with the water reflecting the colorful evening sky.
