Lake Meridian Park spans a generous 19.6 acres wrapped around its namesake lake in Kent, Washington. This park offers a good mix of water activities and land-based recreation. At its heart, Lake Meridian itself invites you to swim, cast a line, or launch a boat for a day of outdoor enjoyment.

Water Activities

When summer heats up, the park's sandy beach area becomes the place to be for a refreshing dip. If you're bringing little ones, you'll appreciate that lifeguards typically keep watch during the busiest summer days.

Got a fishing enthusiast in the family? The lake is home to a variety of fish including Rainbow Trout, Kokanee, Largemouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and Brown Bullhead. The floating piers extending into the water make perfect fishing spots whether you're a seasoned angler or just teaching the kids how to bait a hook.

For those interested in boating, Lake Meridian is somewhat special in the area as one of the few King County lakes that allows motorized boats. Just keep in mind that Kent Police patrol the waters to make sure everyone stays safe. You have options for getting on the water too - there's a standard ramp for larger vessels and a graveled area great for launching kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards.

Back on shore, the park offers plenty of ways to enjoy dry land.
