Belvedere Park

Panoramic Viewpoint

Belvedere Park is a scenic viewpoint located in West Seattle, Washington. The park is divided into two sections on either side of Admiral Way, offering stunning views across Elliott Bay to downtown Seattle.

On clear days, visitors can also see the Cascade Mountains and Mount Rainier in the distance.

Cultural Heritage

The eastern section of the park features a notable 25-foot tall totem pole. This totem pole depicts stylized beavers, fish, and frogs.

It replaced an original pole that was donated to the city in 1939 by the owner of Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. The current pole was carved by Michael Halady, a descendant of Chief Sealth, after whom Seattle was named.

Visitor Experience

Belvedere Park is a popular spot for taking scenic photographs and is often used as a backdrop for wedding and ceremonial photos.

The park provides a peaceful respite where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline and surrounding natural beauty.
