A Tribute to a Local Hero

The Green Bay Common Council officially established this green space on May 20, 2008, naming it after James Henry Flatley - a Green Bay native born on June 17, 1906, who went on to become a distinguished naval aviator.

If you explore the park, you'll come across a sign and an obelisk commemorating Flatley's impressive military service - a thoughtful touch that gives the park deeper meaning beyond its natural beauty.
