About the Location
Park Overview
Tucked away in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kennedy Park spans a cozy 7 acres of public recreational space. The park has been serving the community since its purchase in December 1963 (before it officially became part of Green Bay). If you're planning a visit, keep in mind it's open Monday through Saturday from 8AM to 10PM, but takes a rest day on Sundays.
Playground Paradise
Little ones can burn off energy at the park's playground, a hub where climbing, balancing, and all sorts of physical challenges help develop those important motor skills. The play area is popular with local Green Bay families whose children enjoy the various activities.
Sports Central
For those feeling active, Kennedy Park offers several sporting options. The basketball court is great for shooting some hoops or jumping into an impromptu game with others.
Soccer enthusiasts can enjoy the dedicated soccer field for both casual kicks and organized matches, but it might benefit from some additional TLC according to regular visitors.
The park also houses a volleyball area for those looking to bump, set, and spike, plus a horseshoe pit if you're in the mood for a more traditional outdoor game.
Picnic Spots & Practical Amenities
There are picnic areas scattered around the park for meals and snacks. Picnic shelters are available for more organized gatherings.
No need to cut your visit short when nature calls - restroom facilities are available and generally kept in good condition. Note that alcohol is permitted within the park boundaries.
One small heads-up: some visitors have mentioned there could be more seating across the park, so you might want to bring a portable chair or blanket if you're planning to stay awhile.
