Brahan Spring Park

Brahan Spring Park is a multi-use recreational facility located in Huntsville, Alabama. The park spans across a vast area, offering a variety of outdoor activities and amenities for visitors of all ages. At the heart of the park is a tranquil spring, which adds to the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The park features numerous sports facilities, including baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, and sand volleyball courts. For disc golf enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole course that weaves through tall pines, providing a challenging and scenic experience. The course is known for its accuracy-demanding fairways, with both the front and back nine ending at the parking lot.

Brahan Spring Park also caters to families with young children. It houses a popular splash pad called the "Everybody Can Play Splash Pad," which is free to use and operates from May through September. This aquatic play area has a space theme and includes 51 different water features such as sprinklers, bubbling geysers, water cannons, and dumping buckets. Adjacent to the splash pad is a large pavilion available for rent, along with attached bathrooms for convenience.

The park includes walking trails that meander through lush greenery, offering visitors a chance to enjoy nature and engage in leisurely strolls or jogging. Picnic areas equipped with tables and grills are available, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or casual outdoor meals.

For those interested in indoor activities, the Brahan Spring Recreation Center, which has been in continuous operation since December 10, 1980, offers various programs and facilities. The center hosts seasonal activities such as aerobics, basketball, chess classes, and pickleball.
