Stoner Park

Stoner Park is a 68-acre public recreational area located in north Huntsville, Alabama. Situated south of Stringfield Road and west of Pulaski Pike, the park offers a variety of outdoor facilities for community use.

The park is undergoing significant upgrades, with the most notable addition being a new skating rink. This 85-foot by 185-foot rink will be housed within a 19,000-square-foot open-air pavilion, constructed on the site of the former tennis courts. The skating rink project, valued at $2.3 million, was initiated in response to community requests and is designed to enhance recreational opportunities in the area.

Stoner Park provides a range of existing amenities that cater to diverse interests and age groups. The park features multiple sports facilities, including football and baseball fields, as well as multi-purpose fields suitable for various activities. For younger visitors, there is a playground area. The park also includes picnic facilities, allowing families and groups to enjoy outdoor meals in a pleasant setting.

The park's layout is designed to facilitate easy access between different areas, enabling visitors to enjoy multiple activities during their visit. With its expansive green spaces and varied facilities, Stoner Park serves as a significant community hub for recreation and outdoor enjoyment in north Huntsville.
