Historic Significance
Wright Brothers Park, formerly known as Overlook Park, is an urban park located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The park was renamed on July 2, 2013, in dedication to the Wright Brothers, pioneers of aviation.
The park holds historical significance as it is near the site where the Wright Brothers operated their first civilian flying school in 1910. Although the school was short-lived due to weather and mechanical issues, it marks an important chapter in both Montgomery's and aviation history.
