The most distinctive feature of Harmon Park is a 22-foot tall GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) treehouse that is the tallest of its kind in the Southeastern United States. This isn't your average playground structure! The treehouse cleverly incorporates indigenous critters into its design, giving kids a chance to play alongside artistic representations of local wildlife. Harmon Park has a powerful comeback story. After being completely destroyed by the April 2011 tornado, the park was rebuilt with modern playground concepts. Many locals now consider it one of the best places for kids to play in Tuscaloosa.
