Behind the Name

Though originally called River District Park, it was renamed in October 2023 to honor the Parker and Haun families who have deep roots in supporting Tuscaloosa's educational initiatives. These families, connected to Parker Towing (whose headquarters sits directly across from the park), are key partners in the Saban Center project and have made lasting contributions to the community.
