About Stonegate Park in Chandler
Stonegate Park is an 8-acre neighborhood park located in Chandler, Arizona. Constructed in 1984, the park serves the Stonegate Crossing subdivision and is situated in the city's north planning area. The park provides a variety of recreational opportunities for local residents and visitors alike.
The park features well-maintained turf areas, which have recently been addressed with new sod in some worn sections. Concrete sidewalks in good condition wind through the park, allowing for pleasant walks. The park is equipped with LED lighting along the pathways and in specific activity areas, enhancing safety and usability during evening hours.
Stonegate Park includes multiple water management features. There are three large storm drain outfalls located in the north, northeast, and southwest corners of the park that convey offsite drainage. The northeast corner basin is primarily in a decomposed granite area and is notably silted, while the southwest corner basin extends into the lower turf area.
The park's design incorporates both active and passive recreational spaces, catering to a wide range of interests and age groups. Its location adjacent to Espee Park further expands the recreational options available to the community.
