About Mary Silva Park
What You Can Do Here
At Mary Silva Park, you'll discover a sand volleyball court with lights for those evening games when you just can't call it quits at sunset. There are several picnic areas where you can set up for lunch, complete with grills if you're in the mood for some outdoor cooking.
There's one covered picnic area with tables that's excellent for family gatherings or just enjoying a meal in the shade on a hot Arizona day.
For the Little Ones
The kids' area features newly updated playground equipment that'll keep the young ones entertained. There are swings for the thrill-seekers and slides for everyone else. Parents, you'll appreciate the sunshades keeping the play area cooler, and the wood chips underfoot provide some cushioning for those inevitable tumbles.
What's nice is that the equipment is sturdy enough for you to climb and play alongside your children - making it a true family bonding spot rather than just a place to watch from the sidelines.
ADCamelback's Hidden Gems - Hike & Yoga with a View
Camelback Mountain is one of the most popular hikes in the entire Phoenix area due to its breathtaking views of the valley. What truly sets our hiking adventures apart is your guide/instructor – a perfect blend of enthusiasm, knowledge & experience (with a mild obsession of nature facts).
Stay Fit Outdoors
If you're looking to mix up your workout routine, the park has outdoor exercise equipment installed around its perimeter. These stations are great for adding some variety to your morning walks or creating a full circuit training session in the fresh air.
These fitness options add variety to the park, making it suitable for people of all ages and interests.
Bringing Your Dog
Dog owners will appreciate the wide open field that's great for walking your four-legged friend. There's even a thoughtful ground-level drinking fountain specifically designed for dogs to stay hydrated.
Just remember that like all Glendale parks, there's no designated dog run or fenced area, so you'll need to keep your pup on a leash at all times.
Hours and Rules to Know
The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and follows standard Glendale park rules. These include the usual no-nos: no defacing property, no harming wildlife, and please don't litter.
If you're bringing a dog, it must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, and yes, you need to clean up after them.
