Inviting all boos and ghouls to float down to Main Street for some Halloween trick-or-treating! Downtown Mesa businesses are handing out individually wrapped candy and goodies to costumed children, or until all candy is claimed. This event also features themed games, activities, cotton candy, and crafts on Macdonald and Main Street.

Mesa Arts Center is pleased to celebrate Día de los Muertos with an annual event created in collaboration with the community. Día de los Muertos is a celebration of Latin American art and culture related to the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead. The annual free event offers a variety of features, performances, and more in celebration of the memories of the deceased. The festival features live performances across multiple stages on both days, including mariachi, ballet folklórico, salsa dance, and more. A Relaxed Hour is offered Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, providing a quieter, more inclusive experience with reduced sensory stimuli before the official event start time. Saturday hours: 12:00 PM–10:00 PM. Sunday hours: 12:00 PM–5:00 PM. A procession and ceremony closes the festival on Sunday at 4:30 PM.

Featuring Oteil Burbridge, Larry Goldings & Adam Deitch. Through his 54-year career, 3-time Grammy Award winner John Scofield has occasionally detoured from the traditions of straight-ahead jazz, exploring a blend of funk and jazz that has led to some of his most popular projects. In late autumn of 2026, Scofield looks back at many of his now classic fusion groove compositions with Electrospective — culling tunes from his Blue Matter, Uberjam, and AGoGo bands, as well as new material in the same vein. Electrospective will rely on interpretative input from Scofield alum and super funk drummer/producer Adam Deitch (Lettuce), multidimensional Larry Goldings (Scary Goldings, James Taylor) on keyboards, and legendary bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Co., Tedeschi Trucks, Allman Brothers). With this repertoire so frequently and loudly requested by audience members, Scofield is glad to have a band that will truly do the music justice.

Welcome to Red, an immersive dance performance for 12–36-month-olds and their families. Developed through creative research sessions with very young children, this performance explores the bold experience of toddlerhood through joyful chaos and rough-and-tumble play. Performers and audience members dance together, co-creating a world that is unequivocally Red. Red is approximately 30 minutes long and is designed specifically for children ages 12–36 months. Family members of all ages are welcome to join alongside children in this age range. At the start of the show, performers greet families in the lobby and assist them in entering the performance space. A designated area is available for strollers, diaper bags, and other belongings. After the show, performers help families exit the space and transition back into their day. This is a child-centered performance. We welcome all types of responses in the space, including laughing, crying, talking, making noise, moving, and dancing. Floor seating is provided for all audience members, but children are not required to stay in their seats — they are welcome to explore the space and move freely with the performers. Chairs are available upon request for any audience member who needs one. Red features one live musician and two dancers. Each performance is limited to 25 audience members, ensuring that families have the time and space to connect with the performers. All patrons wishing to attend must have a ticket, regardless of age. Red is brought to you by lead artists Amanda Pintore, Olivia Herneddo, and Jisun Myung.
