Need a more relaxed vibe? The park offers several picnic options, including two covered ramadas and three uncovered picnic areas scattered throughout the grounds. These spots are ideal for family gatherings, birthday celebrations, or just enjoying a peaceful lunch outdoors.

Many areas benefit from generous tree shade, however you might want to bring a hat for those sections that catch full sun. Clean restrooms are available, which is always a plus when you're planning to spend a few hours outdoors.

One feature that sets Western Star apart is its lighted sand volleyball court - a rare find that allows for evening games when the Arizona heat is more forgiving. The lighting around the park really extends its usability well into the evening.
