A Sprawling Urban Oasis

Eldorado Park is a sprawling 60-acre urban oasis located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Situated between Oak and McDowell roads, this versatile park offers a wide range of recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages.

The park is divided into northern and southern sections, each with its own distinct features and attractions.

Community Facilities

The northern part of Eldorado Park houses the Eldorado Community Center, Boys & Girls Club, and the Fitness & Aquatic Center. This area also includes a boat dock and fishing lake, providing opportunities for anglers to enjoy their pastime.

The park's aquatic facilities are particularly noteworthy, featuring the Eldorado Pool, which is heated during winter months and offers 13 short-course lap lanes.

Playgrounds for All Ages

Two playgrounds can be found within the park, catering to children of different age groups. The north playground is suitable for kids of all ages, offering a variety of equipment including slides, climbing structures, swings, and a rock step wall.

The south playground, located near the sports fields, provides separate areas for older and younger children, complete with standard playground equipment and even a rideable dinosaur structure.

Sports and Recreation

For sports enthusiasts, Eldorado Park boasts an impressive array of facilities. The park features three lighted baseball fields, a soccer/football field, and sand volleyball courts equipped with spray poles for cooling off.

Additionally, there are both indoor and outdoor basketball courts available for use.

Connectivity and Specialty Features

The park is intersected by the Scottsdale Greenbelt, a multi-use path perfect for bike riding, jogging, or leisurely walks. This path connects Eldorado Park to other parts of Scottsdale, making it an integral part of the city's green space network.

In the southern section of the park, visitors will find the Wedge Skate Park, a 20,000 square-foot facility that caters to skateboarding enthusiasts.

Gathering Spaces and Events

Eldorado Park also emphasizes the importance of community gatherings and events. Numerous shaded ramadas and picnic tables are scattered throughout the park, including a large picnic area known as "picnic island" that is ideal for hosting larger events.

The park regularly hosts community events, including a popular Fall Festival in October featuring Halloween-themed activities.
