Built in 1989 alongside the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, Jácome Plaza stands where the beloved Jácome's Department Store once thrived in downtown Tucson. In 2003, the plaza received its official name, honoring the Jácome family's significant contributions to Tucson's development and commercial history.
