About Santa Rita Park
Your Urban Oasis
Situated in the heart of Tucson, Santa Rita Park offers green space for locals from the Santa Rita neighborhood, Armory Park area, and South Tucson. As one of the few parks in this part of town, it's a popular gathering place for the community.
With its green lawns and open areas, this park hosts neighborhood gatherings, lazy Sunday afternoons, and impromptu frisbee games.
Play Your Way
Santa Rita Park offers more than just scenery - there are plenty of activities available. Whether you're looking to cool off in the swimming pool on a scorching Arizona day, let the kids burn energy at the playground, or challenge friends to a game on the sports fields, there's something for everyone here.
The skate park is a particular site that draws both beginners and seasoned pros. You'll often spot skateboarders and unicyclists practicing tricks or just cruising around. Meanwhile, the landscape offers a pleasant mix of manicured lawns, colorful flower beds, and trees that provide much-needed shade when the sun is beating down.

Practical amenities haven't been overlooked either - you'll discover restrooms and drinking water stations throughout the grounds. And when that famous Arizona heat gets to be too much, several sheltered areas offer a welcome retreat from the sun.
Looking Ahead
Exciting changes are on the horizon for Santa Rita Park. The city has allocated roughly $3 million in bond funds toward renovations, showing just how much this green space matters to the community.
Currently undergoing a significant facelift, the improvements are scheduled to continue until 2026. While it might mean navigating around some construction, the end result promises to be worth the wait - a revitalized space with enhanced features for everyone to enjoy.
