Location and Accessibility

Tucked away in the Barrio Kroeger Lane Neighborhood, Verdugo Park is a charming little green space that Tucson locals cherish. You can find it just northwest of where 22nd Street meets I-10, conveniently positioned along The Loop multi-use path.

What makes this spot special? For one, the beautiful views of "A" Mountain across the Santa Cruz River. If you're cycling or walking The Loop, this park makes for a wonderful breather during your journey.

Amenities and Features

Despite its modest size, Verdugo Park packs in quite a bit of functionality. Kids will enjoy the playground complete with play equipment and swings suitable for different ages.

Got some energy to burn? The half basketball court is well-suited for a quick pickup game. The park's amphitheater occasionally hosts community events, making this space beyond a place to relax.

When hunger strikes, several picnic tables are scattered throughout - some shaded, some sunny - with grills available if you're in the mood for a desert cookout. You'll discover drinking fountains to stay hydrated, but note that there aren't any restrooms here.

Parking Information

If you're driving, be aware that parking is limited - there are only three dedicated spaces at the park itself. Don't worry though, street parking is available nearby if those spots are taken.

Cyclists will appreciate the bike parking facilities, which makes sense given the park's position along The Loop path.
