About Canyon Rim Park
A Hidden Hillside Escape
Perched on the edge of eastern Anaheim, Canyon Rim Park spans a modest 5.5 acres that pack quite the scenic punch. Since opening in 1992, this neighborhood park offers excellent views of the surrounding hills, with the Walnut Canyon Reservoir creating a scenic backdrop.
There's something wonderfully calming about finding this peaceful pocket of nature tucked away in Anaheim. If you're the adventurous type, you'll appreciate that the park sits near the southern entrance to the Deer Canyon Park Preserve, making it a great jumping-off point for exploring the network of trails that connect to Oak Canyon Nature Center and the Walnut Canyon Reservoir Trail.
Play Your Way
Regardless of whether you're shooting hoops or kicking a ball around, Canyon Rim has you covered. The park features courts and fields for basketball, baseball, and soccer enthusiasts of all skill levels. Families with little ones will appreciate the recently renovated children's playground with updated equipment that's sure to keep the kids entertained.

Room to Breathe
One of Canyon Rim's highlights is its generous open field - a welcome feature in the urban landscape. This expansive grassy area gives you plenty of space to toss a frisbee, have an impromptu soccer match, or simply stretch out on a blanket with a good book.
The layout provides enough space that you rarely feel cramped, even on busier days. Multiple groups can enjoy their own activities without disturbing each other.
Before You Go
Note that parking isn't available directly at the park - you'll need to use the lot at Canyon Rim Elementary School next door. From there, it's just a short walk to most park amenities, though you'll have a bit more of a stroll to reach the baseball field.
The park welcomes early birds and night owls alike with generous hours from 5 AM to 10:30 PM daily. No matter if you're catching the sunrise on a morning jog or shooting baskets under the evening sky, Canyon Rim accommodates your schedule.
