Davis Park

A Bit of History

Davis Park bears the name of Jack Davis, a multitalented local figure who wasn't just a rancher but also dedicated years of his life as a teacher and principal at Fruitridge Elementary School. It's one of several green spaces under the watchful care of the Cosumnes Community Services District in Elk Grove.

Places to Play

Though not massive, this park packs in quite a few fun options for outdoor enthusiasts. The playground is thoughtfully designed with equipment for the little ones (ages 2-5) as well as more challenging structures for older kids (5-12). If you're a fan of the classics, you'll appreciate the swings that never seem to go out of style no matter your age.

Picnic Possibilities

Feeling hungry after all that play? The park comes equipped with barbecue facilities and picnic tables that operate on a first-come, first-served basis - no reservations needed here. Just bring your food, friends, and maybe a blanket for the grassy areas, which are excellent for sprawling out or tossing a frisbee around.
