About the Location
Park Overview
Irvington Community Park, located in the Irvington District of Fremont, California, is a 12-acre community park that serves as a central gathering place for local residents. The park features multiple recreational areas and facilities, catering to various age groups and interests.
Playground Facilities
The park includes two separate playground areas designed for different age groups. One section resembles a castle with tall tube slides, a mini climbing wall, jungle gym, and standard swings.
The other section is more suitable for younger children, offering a short slide, various climbing structures, drums, bouncy "bugs" to climb on, and toddler swings. Both playground areas are equipped with rubber cushion ground cover for safety.
Community Center
Adjacent to the park is the Wally Pond Irvington Community Center, which provides additional recreational facilities and programs. The community center houses a sports gymnasium with a high school-sized basketball court, a championship-sized volleyball court, and six badminton courts.
Outdoor Spaces
Irvington Community Park also features open green spaces, including soccer fields and areas for other outdoor activities. The park provides ample parking and restroom facilities for visitors' convenience.
While there is usually some shade available, it may not always cover the benches. A faux grass hill with a ledge offers a comfortable spot for snacks and relaxation.
The park's central location and diverse amenities make it a popular destination for families, sports enthusiasts, and community events throughout the year.
